Our „Goldmarie“
This is a new creation that combines the St. Märgen garb and the Gengenbach golden headdress.
The actual garb comes from St. Märgen in the High Black Forest region and what is so unique about these garbs is the embroidery on the chest piece. The embroidery, the choice and number of buttons, and other visual elements were used to indicate social status.
Another special feature of High Black Forest garbs is that women are free to choose between two hats. In this case, the Gengenbach golden headdress is worn.
By combining garbs, the „Goldmarie“ very clearly demonstrates that tradition and modernity are not mutually exclusive but the result of a logical process of further development.
